For this Newmanstown PA Master Bath, the homeowners, Mr. and Mrs. Burger, had some very specific ideas.
It was important to them to have a barrier-free shower. We achieved that using a Schluter Kerdi sloped shower pan and some careful and unique floor joist modifications to get good support, while maintaining the needed slope.
Mrs. Burger was especially interested in a clean, white tile in a larger format. In the planning process, we suggested replacing their platform whirlpool tub because it was taking up far too much space and made the bathroom feel crowded. In its place Mr. and Mrs. Burger chose a white freestanding soaking tub sitting under a large window with room around the tub, giving a feel of a larger, less crowded space.
Polished nickel fixtures and crystal clear low iron custom glass enclosure with a shower guard coating add a touch of class that has wide appeal.
